One person works slowly through every detail - guiding the ari needle through flowy cotton, tracing paisley motifs that spiral and bloom like the ones stitched into Kashmiri shawls for centuries. The craft story
Kashmiri embroidery didn't travel well. It stayed in the valley, stitched onto pashmina shawls, wedding phirans, the kind of garments that stayed in families for generations. When it did leave, it left as dowry, as heirloom, as the thing your aunt brought back from Srinagar and never wore because it was too precious for everyday.
The Rohri brings that embroidery to everyday. Made by artisans in Rahim Yar Khan using traditional Kashmiri hand embroidery techniques, where a small hooked needle (the ari) pulls thread through fabric to create chain-stitch patterns. The paisley motifs bloom across the chest and cuffs - not symmetrical, not machine-perfect, shaped by the rhythm of the hand that stitched them.
130+ hours of handwork on flowy khadi cotton, which drapes differently than stiff cotton because the weave is looser, more forgiving. The band collar sits close to the neck without choking - a silhouette borrowed from Nehru jackets and Mao suits, now worn by everyone from Bombay actors to Brooklyn designers.

RETURNS:
Returns are clearly not applicable on any sale items. Moreover for general returns, within seven days after your purchase, you may return any unworn, unwashed, and unaffected products if you're not entirely happy. The returned item must be accompanied by its original tags and packing. Send an email to contact@anothersect.com with your order number and the justification for the return to start the return process. You can ship the items back to us using the pre-paid return label. Within 5-7 business days of receiving your return, we may complete your reimbursement based on your terms and conditions.
EXCHANGES:
Exchanges are clearly not applicable on any sale items. Moreover for general exchanges, we are more than willing to assist you with exchanges because we recognize that you may sometimes need a different size or color. Send an email to contact@anothersect.com with your order number, the item you wish to exchange, and the size/color you would like to receive in order to start the exchange process. To send the item back to us, you will send a pre-paid return label, and we may send you the replacement item as soon as it is available.
Please be aware that we only accept unworn, unwashed, and unaffected products for exchange. The exchange must have all original tags and packing. We may give you a refund if the item you want to exchange is out of stock based on our terms and conditions.
DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS:
Please write us right away at contact@anothersect.com with pictures of the item and a description of the problem if your item turns out to be defective or wrong when it arrives. We'll do anything in our capacity to fix the issue and provide you a replacement or a refund.
