Garment detail
100% cotton with kantha hand embroidery and mirror work, stitched by the artisans of Rahim Yar Khan.
Deep maroon ground with white and black thread. Central paisley motif filled with shisha mirrors and outlined in cream. Scattered leaf and floral sprigs across the face. Dotted kantha running stitch border frames all four edges with a thin cream line at the hem. 22 x 22 inches.

The craft story
Maroon is a colour that holds embroidery differently to white or cream. The ground is already rich - the thread has to earn its place. White and black on maroon is a combination that goes back centuries in South Asian textile tradition, turning up in shawls, dupattas, and bridal pieces where the contrast had to work from a distance and up close.
The Laal bandana combines two techniques in one piece. Kantha running stitch - the most patient of embroideries, thousands of tiny stitches laid in lines - builds the border and the scattered motifs. Shisha mirror work holds the paisley together at the centre, each mirror secured individually before the decorative thread goes over it.

RETURNS:
Returns are clearly not applicable on any sale items. Moreover for general returns, within seven days after your purchase, you may return any unworn, unwashed, and unaffected products if you're not entirely happy. The returned item must be accompanied by its original tags and packing. Send an email to contact@anothersect.com with your order number and the justification for the return to start the return process. You can ship the items back to us using the pre-paid return label. Within 5-7 business days of receiving your return, we may complete your reimbursement based on your terms and conditions.
EXCHANGES:
Exchanges are clearly not applicable on any sale items. Moreover for general exchanges, we are more than willing to assist you with exchanges because we recognize that you may sometimes need a different size or color. Send an email to contact@anothersect.com with your order number, the item you wish to exchange, and the size/color you would like to receive in order to start the exchange process. To send the item back to us, you will send a pre-paid return label, and we may send you the replacement item as soon as it is available.
Please be aware that we only accept unworn, unwashed, and unaffected products for exchange. The exchange must have all original tags and packing. We may give you a refund if the item you want to exchange is out of stock based on our terms and conditions.
DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS:
Please write us right away at contact@anothersect.com with pictures of the item and a description of the problem if your item turns out to be defective or wrong when it arrives. We'll do anything in our capacity to fix the issue and provide you a replacement or a refund.
