The craft story
Tarkashi is architecture made of absence. The artisan doesn't add - they remove. Thread by thread, they pull the warp and weft of the fabric to create sheer, grid-like patterns that let light pass through. It's a craft of restraint, where what's taken away matters more than what remains.
The Khaab combines three techniques that rarely share space on a single garment. Tarkashi creates transparent windows in the fabric. Tukri appliqué - layered fabric pieces hand-stitched in place - adds dimension and texture. Hand ari work, done with a hooked needle, traces patterns across the surface like calligraphy written in thread.
Made by artisans in Rahim Yar Khan, this shirt carries 170 hours of labor across its surface. Not labor in the factory sense - labor in the sense of attention, correction, patience. The kind of work that refuses to be hurried because hurrying would break the thread.

RETURNS:
Returns are clearly not applicable on any sale items. Moreover for general returns, within seven days after your purchase, you may return any unworn, unwashed, and unaffected products if you're not entirely happy. The returned item must be accompanied by its original tags and packing. Send an email to contact@anothersect.com with your order number and the justification for the return to start the return process. You can ship the items back to us using the pre-paid return label. Within 5-7 business days of receiving your return, we may complete your reimbursement based on your terms and conditions.
EXCHANGES:
Exchanges are clearly not applicable on any sale items. Moreover for general exchanges, we are more than willing to assist you with exchanges because we recognize that you may sometimes need a different size or color. Send an email to contact@anothersect.com with your order number, the item you wish to exchange, and the size/color you would like to receive in order to start the exchange process. To send the item back to us, you will send a pre-paid return label, and we may send you the replacement item as soon as it is available.
Please be aware that we only accept unworn, unwashed, and unaffected products for exchange. The exchange must have all original tags and packing. We may give you a refund if the item you want to exchange is out of stock based on our terms and conditions.
DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS:
Please write us right away at contact@anothersect.com with pictures of the item and a description of the problem if your item turns out to be defective or wrong when it arrives. We'll do anything in our capacity to fix the issue and provide you a replacement or a refund.
