The craft story
The paisley didn't start as a teardrop. It started as a cypress tree - a Zoroastrian symbol of life and eternity before it bent into the boteh shape that now appears on everything from scarves in Srinagar to ties in Savile Row. Somewhere in that journey, it became both universal and deeply specific. Everyone recognizes it. Few know why.
The Dharani carries paisley motifs stitched by artisans in Rahim Yar Khan using tukri appliqué, a technique where fabric pieces are layered and hand-sewn to create raised, dimensional patterns. Not printed. Not stamped. Cut, placed, stitched. Hand ari work (done with a small hooked needle) traces details around each motif, creating texture that catches light differently than the base fabric.
70+ hours of handwork on khadi cotton, which breathes differently than industrial cotton because it's made differently. The elasticated hem gathers at the waist without clinging - functional, but also a quiet nod to the gathered kameezes your mother wore, the ones that moved when she walked.

RETURNS:
Returns are clearly not applicable on any sale items. Moreover for general returns, within seven days after your purchase, you may return any unworn, unwashed, and unaffected products if you're not entirely happy. The returned item must be accompanied by its original tags and packing. Send an email to contact@anothersect.com with your order number and the justification for the return to start the return process. You can ship the items back to us using the pre-paid return label. Within 5-7 business days of receiving your return, we may complete your reimbursement based on your terms and conditions.
EXCHANGES:
Exchanges are clearly not applicable on any sale items. Moreover for general exchanges, we are more than willing to assist you with exchanges because we recognize that you may sometimes need a different size or color. Send an email to contact@anothersect.com with your order number, the item you wish to exchange, and the size/color you would like to receive in order to start the exchange process. To send the item back to us, you will send a pre-paid return label, and we may send you the replacement item as soon as it is available.
Please be aware that we only accept unworn, unwashed, and unaffected products for exchange. The exchange must have all original tags and packing. We may give you a refund if the item you want to exchange is out of stock based on our terms and conditions.
DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS:
Please write us right away at contact@anothersect.com with pictures of the item and a description of the problem if your item turns out to be defective or wrong when it arrives. We'll do anything in our capacity to fix the issue and provide you a replacement or a refund.
